Specialty Shops and their Spanish Message FlagsWhenever a person decides to migrate to a foreign land, does that mean he turns his back from his country and its traditions? It may seem that way because if you truly love your country and the person that you have become, you would not be enticed to leave, even for whatever reasons. But it could be economic in nature a person is drawn out of his country in search for greener pastures and a good life to support his family.
Although he maybe physically away from his country, it does not however mean that he had become a new being. Once a Spaniard, you would always be one because of the culture and traditions that you have been accustomed to. But for the attachment to one’s roots, an expatriate can still bring honor and dignity to his country by continuously practicing what he has been taught and by passing such traditions and beliefs to his children.
Take for instance the Spanish migrants in the United States. They may have adapted some of the lifestyles of the Americans in order to survive; yet their Spanish culture remains intact. They still speak their language and as much as possible they celebrate the Spanish feasts. Even so, they proudly hang Spanish flags outside their doorsteps.
